The peculiarities of the fractal parameter µ(Ng, ng) of the set of points dependence on the number of groups Ng and ng points per group could stimulate the formation of thylakoids carrying PSI and PSII photosystems during the evolution of cyanobacteria. With an increase in the number of Ng groups at a fixed number of points ng (2–3, dimers, trimers) per group, the virtual total size H ~(Ng ng) 1/µ of the photosynthetic apparatus of cyanobacteria could become many times larger than the limited size of the bacterium itself. The published experimental data confirming the validity of this conclusion are discussed.
