The proposed system of flowering plants (Angiospermae) is based on synthesis of cladistic researches from dif┐ferent authors, morphological data and "traditional" systematics as well. Classis Angiospermae is divided for 4 subclassis: Magloliidae, Liliidae, Rosidae and Asteridae. Thus, monocots belong to subclassis Liliidae, and socalled "dicots" to three other subclasses. Altogether there are 35 orders and 328 families of flowering plants in this system.
